These pillows feel great. Through a mistake, I got lucky. They actually sent me King-sized pillows instead of the Queen-size that I ordered. I was going to exchange them because they stick out of the ends of my pillowcases. Instead, I shook the goose feathers down to one end, folded and stitched back about 6-inches of the pillow to shorten them, now they feel a lot better than any Queen-sized pillow that I could have bought. Imagine, a Queen-size pillow with more feathers. Good stuff! :o)

It's a good pillow but a bit too soft for my taste. Nice if you like a pillow that you can really sink into. These are longer pillows than "standard" but I did have cases this size.

I am a pillow snob. I should have known better. Down, real down, is the only way to go for the pillow you want to use every night as your "top" pillow (the one for your head and face). 700 fill power. But that is a luxury (as I now know); they cost, minimum, 5 times as much as these pillows.

That said, these are great feather pillows. The are excellent "bottom" pillows if you are a two pillow person. And they would be perfect stuffed into a big throw pillow cover for the couch or as a backrest for reading in bed. But they are not sleep pillows.

I offer this because reading the 5-star reviews make you think you've found the perfect pillows on the cheap. But they are feather pillows, so there are quills and little lumps that make them less than perfect. For the price, and with the caveat that they are not sleep pillows, I might make them 5-star. But this is the review I wish I had read before I bought them.

I love these pillows. I am a down pillow person, but I guess I was ready for a change. I bought these for my husband, but I keep stealing them, I like that they really do stay cool.

I have purchased two Chillow brand pillow inserts and one Avon brand cooling pillow and I have never been satisfied with either product. The Chillow brand pillows are either too cold or too warm after laying on them for awhile, and they also start leaking after about five months of use and have to be replaced. The Avon cooling pillow doesn't work at all.

But the Isocool pillow really keeps it's cool. It's not "cold" like the chillow starts out as, but it starts cool and ends cool. It doesn't warm up while you are laying on it. It's also amazingly comfortable thanks to the memory foam.

I will never use an ordinary pillow again! I recommend this pillow to anyone who has hot flashes and sweat on their pillow at night.

The reason you are looking at this is because you are one of those people who always flip your pillow to the "cool side." You just prefer not to lie on a pillow your head has already heated up. (There is even a facebook group for us!) This pillow is not magic and does not have any type of a cooling element. It will, however, dissipate heat more quickly so you do not end up with a real hot spot. It does not keep the "cool" side feeling forever. It does do a nice job of not getting very hot though.

As far as firmness goes, I think this is perfect - probably a medium firmness. I am used to foam pillows and don't like the down pillow feeling.

It comes with its own zippered pillow cover, so that is nice. It fits into a standard pillow case, which is also nice.

Overall, I give it four stars because it does a decent job of not getting as hot as a normal pillow - but calling it "cool" is a tiny bit misleading.

EDIT: After a month or so, the pillow has gone from perfectly firm and thick to a bit of a panckake. I try to fluf it back up to no avail. Rating updated from four stars to two.
